PS4 is never going to happen. It is a pipe dream for a game that isn't even out of the prototyping phase. Typical game development cycles are 3ish years. Let's say they reuse a lot of DUST artwork and manage to finish in 2 years. Then closed beta, open beta, and release. Sooo...November 2016? Seems aggressive but doable.
ONLY THEN they will port the game to the PS4. But the PS4 will already be 3 years old, and compared to the latest computers will be the fat kid in gym class. AND CCP will still have to go back to dealing with Sony for release cycles. Meaning if they tie the game to a console they will need to slow down their PC release cycle to match the console, since both will be playing on the same server. Simultaneous release on multi-platforms is easy for other games where they don't communicate. But this is all one server, so PS4 players will be dragging down the PC players.
So CCP will find themselves in a situation in 2016/17 where they have a working PC game, with a viable player base, and complete control. Do you think they really will do all the work to port it to an inferior device where Sony has to greenlight all incoming content for the life of the product? And then will they port it AGAIN 3 years after THAT to the PS5? The development cycles will never end, whereas for PC it's one and done.
Let me put it another way: CCP didn't even deliver on Amarr and Minmatar tanks. Do you really think they will deliver on a "maybe we will do that in a few years, but we definitely aren't doing it now" type promise?
